A Dressage Training Day in aid of Sharon's Road to Rio Campaign was held at Brookleigh Equestrian Centre on the 6th June .
Money raised from this day will be used for costs not covered by the Australian Paralympic Committe in Sharon's Paralympic Campaign.
The Venue and helpers time is being donated to help run the day.
Riders were encouraged to Dress themselves and their horses in Fuchsia and Teal, the colours of the Sock it to Sarcoma! Organisation for which Sharon is an Ambassador. A donation from the day will be made to Sock it to Sarcoma!
Almost 200 dressage tests were run on the day, with special classes, judged by Mandy Basson from Sock it to Sarcoma, for Best Dressed Horse & Rider in Sock it to Sarcoma colours, Best Matching Horse & Rider, Best Rider Socks, Best Horse Socks & Best Odd Socks.
With raffles, silent auctions, sausage sizzles and soup, donations and entries there was over $7,000 raised on the day. Sharon was also pleased, and somewhat overawed, to receive a $2,000 donation from RDAWA.

Well, a great night was had by all who attended. The food and venue was amazing, and the variety of items in the silent and live auctions was enough to appeal to everyone, even the non-horsey people who attended.
It was something of a 'who's who' in the equestrian world, with many well known riders and stalwarts of the industry attending, including the famous Harry Boldt, Diane Bennit, Val Mayger, and up and coming dressage rider Steph Spencer and her family, as well as well known eventing riders Jess Manson and Shenae Lowings. Although Sharon's good friend and fellow Olympian, Sonja Johnson, couldn't be there, her parents, Dan and Phoebe travelled all the way from Albany to attend.
MC, Darren Dawes kept the crowd laughing, while auctioneer Paul coaxed them to part with their money to purchase some of the live auction items.
Thanks have to go to Jade Moody for all her help in organising this event for Sharon. Everyone should have a friend like Jade.
